Zimmet

Asset tracking: which device with whom, with its record.

The fixture card, category, serial number and warranty details are in the system. Assignment and return are done with a record; on employee exit, the list of items to return is produced automatically.

What Zimmet does

Fixture card

Category, brand, model, serial number and purchase details. Computers, phones, vehicles and tools are recorded.

Status management

Available, assigned, scrapped and lost statuses. Every status change keeps the user and the date.

Handover & return record

A printable record is produced on assignment and return; the signed document is archived.

Warranty tracking

Warranty end dates are tracked; devices nearing expiry are reported.

Employee-exit control

All assets on a departing employee are listed; the return list is produced automatically.

Bulk import

Your existing fixture list is imported in bulk from an Excel file.

Excel, or Zimmet?

How it works today

  • The asset ledger is on paper or Excel
  • Which device is with whom becomes a dispute
  • No return record, responsibility is unclear
  • Money is paid for a device already out of warranty
  • A departing employee's device is not recovered

With ERPKolay

  • Every fixture is carded and serial-numbered
  • Who holds it and when it was given is recorded
  • Handover and return are done with a signed record
  • Warranty expiry warns in advance
  • On exit, the return list is produced automatically

Fixture and asset tracking

The asset tracking program manages the distribution of company assets to employees and their return. Its main value is closing the two most common losses: a device staying with a departed employee, and a fixture whose location nobody knows.

Assets and employee exit

The most frequent loss is a departed employee's device not being recovered. When the exit process automatically lists all assets on the employee, the return is checked off item by item — so nothing slips through.

Assets for field teams

In technical service and field teams, measuring devices and hand tools change hands constantly. The asset module keeps who holds what current, tied to the technician, so equipment is not lost between jobs.

Frequently asked questions

What is the asset tracking program for?

It tracks which computers, phones, vehicles and other company fixtures are assigned to which employee, and the handover/return process.

Does it produce an assignment record?

Yes. A printable record is created for handover and return; the signed document is archived in the system.

Can we import our existing fixture list?

Yes. Bulk import from an Excel file is supported and done free of charge during setup.

What happens when an employee leaves?

On exit, all assets on the employee are listed. The items to be returned are checked off, so no device is forgotten.

Is there warranty tracking?

Yes. When the purchase date and warranty period are entered, the end date is calculated and expiring devices are reported.
